Balancing Act

So how do you balance kids, hubby, house, work, business and ... wait for it... yourself?   I guess I don't yet and that is my mission !   Something or someone always has to get the shaft to fit in what needs to be done that day.  Wishing for more hours in the day just isn't helping anymore!   I realized that less than 8 hours sleep just isn't in the cards for me anymore so I am forced to get my life organized!!!!    I'm a do it and get it done person, not a planner or a mise en place girl (everything in place).  Anyone that has seen my work space can tell you that.   So I'm trying a few things out like flylady.net.   Check her blog out...
 

t-shirt flowers

I love to find new ways to recycle or upcycle tshirts.   This one is very fast (which I love). Once you start to make them you will start to see how many ways you can use them. Don't limit yourself to tshirts any lightweight material will work.   Have fun !!!  

What you need :   An old t-shirt / felt circle or recycled heavy weight material in cut in the size circle you want for your flower / hot glue gun / embellishments if you would like.  i.e. beads, rhinestones, fringe, buttons. 

 sorry for the blurry pic - just make a knot at the end of the fabric and glue the knot in the center of the circle

Don't worry about neatness with the glue... you are going to cover it as you go around

Our week long shore vacation is over ... Back to the grind. This website is lingering in my mind and Im determined to get it going asap!! I did get alot of inspiration on new ideas and have an upcycing t-shirt idea that I can wait to share !!

What is all this blogging about

Well I have decided to join the bandwagon and start a blog.  I still have no idea what a blog is really but why not.  I have a ton of extra time to do this... haha.

This is my first post so it is going to be short and sweet just a hello and welcome.  I'm still not sure what I am going to do with it, maybe some crafty advice with pics.      

Any suggestions on blogging and how I can get real fancy like the rest of you out there... please let me know!!
